Personal and consumer data we process:
ERNESST processes your relevant personal and consumer data because you use our services and/or because you provide it to us yourself. Below is an overview of the personal data we process:
– Invoice data (company name, address, VAT number)
– First and last name
– Phone number
– E-mail address
– Data about your activities on our website
– Internet browser and device type
– Bank account number obtained through third parties (e.g. online payments)
Special and/or sensitive data we process:
If you provide us with health information, such as dietary requirements, allergies or wheelchair use, we will include this information in your reservation. We can save this data for future reservations. Our website and/or service does not intend to collect information from website visitors under the age of 16. Unless they have permission from their parents or guardian. However, we cannot verify whether a visitor is over 16 years old. We therefore advise parents to be involved in their children’s online activities to prevent data from being collected about them without their permission. If you believe that we have collected personal information about a minor without that consent, please contact us at location@ernesst.be and we will delete that information.
For what purpose and on what basis we process your data.
ERNESST processes your data for the following purposes:
– Collect consumption data to improve the ERNESST concept (water consumption, energy consumption, waste, etc.) and to raise customer awareness.
– Processing your payment
– To send you our newsletter, follow-up mailings, SMS and/or promotional material.
– Call or email you if necessary to perform our services.
– To keep you informed of changes to our services and products and to optimize the experience of our customers.
– ERNESST analyzes your behavior on the website in order to improve the site and to customize the products and services offered according to your preferences.
Automated decision making.
ERNESST does not make decisions about matters that may (significantly) affect individuals based on automated processing. These decisions are made by computer programs or systems, without the intervention of a human being.
How long we keep the information.
ERNESST will not keep your data longer than is strictly necessary to achieve the purposes for which it was collected (marketing / website optimization / concept improvement / personalization and automation / etc.) Aggregate data is kept for research and static purposes (unlimited in time).
Sharing personal data with third parties
ERNESST shares your personal data with various third parties as necessary to perform the agreement and to meet any legal obligations (e.g., online payment system). We will enter into a processing agreement with the companies that process your information on our behalf to ensure the same level of security and confidentiality of your information. ERNESST remains responsible for this processing.

To ensure that the request for inspection is made by you, we ask that you send a copy of your identification with the request. Include your photo ID and ID number in black on this copy. This is to protect your privacy. We will respond to your request as soon as possible, but no later than six weeks.
